Born in 1974 – Santur Player and Instructor
Toofan Teymoori began his musical journey in 1987 with the Santur. From 1991 to 1998, he studied under the direct supervision of the esteemed maestro Faramarz Payvar, becoming his only direct student in the Khorasan province.
Between 1995 and 1999, he completed courses in music theory and composition under the guidance of Maestro Hossein Dehlavi and Professor Mehran Rouhani.
He also received instruction in Tombak from Maestro Dariush Es-haqi and Maestro Bahman Rajabi.
In 2014, he participated in advanced musical training courses with Professor Khadem Misagh in Germany.

In 2003, he established Ava, the third officially licensed music academy in Mashhad.
He founded the Alast Ensemble in 2001 and has led numerous concerts in Mashhad and other cities across Iran.
He has collaborated with Rayan Orchestra, performing concerts including international appearances in the United Arab Emirates.
He is also a member and collaborator of Sarneg Orchestra and several other ensembles.

- Duet and ensemble concerts with Alast Ensemble in Italy and Spain, including a fusion project with Flamenco musicians in Madrid (2013)

- Concerts in Austria, Germany, and Luxembourg (2016)

- Multiple recordings including the albums Yadegaraan and Payvaraneh Vol. 1 & 2 (Trio arrangements of Faramarz Payvar’s most notable works)
Projects and Contributions:
- Designed and compiled the educational program “Iranian Music for Everyone”, aimed at introducing the Persian modal system (Dastgahs) to non-musicians.
Since 1993, he has been actively teaching Santur and music theory, mentoring many students—some of whom have graduated from prestigious music universities.
